CIRCLE WAYS FOR ORGANIZATIONS
Relationships are strengthened, so when harm occurs, healing ensues.
A school that embraces circle practice honors all stakeholders—students, staff, parents, and community members—deepens understanding of content, increases empathy and collaboration, and addresses the evolving needs of the school community.
How We Work with Organizations
Circle based team building
Any thriving organization holds two complementary values: advancing a product or service and the welfare of the people who produce or provide it. This happens when there is an open feedback loop in which all voices are heard without fear of repercussion. Circle Ways teaches staff and employees how to sustain a horizontal axis of authority (the circle) within a vertical hierarchy (most organizations).

Circle Training
When Circle Ways trains individuals within an organization, each person learns how to call a circle, assess the group’s needs, and create opportunities to deepen understanding and take meaningful action. The indigenous traditions that help us remember circle ways remind us that a “leader” emerges when there is a need to which they are suited, and when their service has been rendered that person returns to the circle to be, again, one among many.

restorative conflict mediation
Mediation is a process of settling disputes with the aid of a neutral third-party, called a "mediator." It is a voluntary and private process in which the mediator meets with the parties, together and individually, and helps them get clear on the facts, circumstances, and possible outcomes of their situation, and to come to agreement on what will be done by each to move forward from their conflict. Circle Ways can help resolve through mediation disputes that the parties are unable to resolve on their own.

Circle spaces
At Circle Ways, we work to make the world a little more round. We design and build circle spaces, from simple circular or spiral outdoor spaces to council gardens and huts. We create spaces that invite listening and speaking from the heart.

Circle Based ceremonies
Circle Ways designs and facilitates gatherings when there is a need to honor a person, an event, or a collective purpose. In collaboration with the hosts, we create memorable experiences that are completely unique.

“Council…fosters cultural sensitivity, and allows small group encounters in which each person has the opportunity to express their thoughts freely. More than anything, council fosters a spirit of curiosity and openness, and reminds us that good learning begins with relationship and rapport.”
